Blood Orange Dark Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients

  • 1 pound dark chocolate chips or whole bars, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Blood Orange Fused Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons Tangerine Dark Balsamic (or Traditional Balsamic)

For Serving

  • Cookies
  • Fresh fruit
  • Marshmallows
  • Pound cake
  • Directions

Special Equipment: 6-quart slow cooker

  1. Heat the slow cooker (with insert) on high until hot.
  2. Add the chocolate, heavy cream, milk, Blood Orange Fused Olive Oil, vanilla extract, and kosher salt to the hot insert.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.
  4. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well combined.
  5. Reduce heat to low and keep warm.
  6. Just before serving, whisk in the balsamic vinegar.
  7. Serve warm with cookies, fruit, marshmallows, or pound cake for dipping.
